Description

We are often too familiar with the saying: "Things start hard, hardships begin to discourage". In fact, whether or not to overcome discouragement depends on the inner strength of each person. They are not perfected by luck and randomness but must come from the practice of DISCIPLINE to build GOOD Habits.

With the book Discipline is Strength, the author will analyze for you the reasons why you can't persevere with your goals, thereby giving six steps to practice self-discipline and "secrets to overcome laziness". ” titled “The 0+1+N Method” - make a small goal in a certain amount of time.

Your path will be open and bright or meaningless - it all depends on whether you are persistent with yourself or not. What you get in the future is the result of the choices you make in the present.

Remember: “There are no shortcuts to beating procrastination and becoming self-disciplined. We need to start with the simplest actions to practice discipline and build willpower.”

Digging deeper than his daily content

    Bob G on 20th Mar 2023

I'm a big Ryan Holiday fan--listen to his podcast and read his Daily Stoic emails. So when this book came out, I feared it was packaging up his previous work. But Ryan dug deep into historical stories you've never heard with unique lessons and guidance. Many thanks!

    Recipe for happiness

    Bonnie on 20th Mar 2023

This isn't a book about gritting your teeth and being grindingly "correct". It's about cultivating inner strength - presenting examples in the lives of a wide variety of remarkable people -- from ancient Greek philosophers, to Beethoven, Martha Graham, George Washington, Queen Elizabeth, Toni Morrison, Lew Gehrig and many more--- strengths which don't just make you a "better person" but lead to an inner peace and unshakeable happiness. One of the best books I've read. Ever. With annotations worth pursuing. Thank you, Ryan Holiday for this beautiful gift. I hope everyone I love reads this.
